Typography - Layout

Looking at how different type faces sit differently on a page with two columns with gutter width 4mm.

From top to bottom, left to right: Times New Roman 7.5pt, 8pt, 8.5pt, 9pt.
                                                                     Times New Roman Bold 7.5pt, 8pt, 8.5pt, 9pt.

From top to bottom, left to right: Arial 7.5pt, 8pt, 8.5pt, 9pt.
                                                                     Arial Bold 7.5pt, 8pt, 8.5pt, 9pt.

Trying too get the text to fit on the page. Add indents and delete line space... Still doesn't fit

Trying to get the text to fit on the page. Justify the text... Now it fits

Only justifying and keeping the line spaces doesn't fit either.

Justifying and deleting line spaces makes the text too small.

Deleting the line space and not justifying makes it too small.

Font size differences

Fonts that take up less space than Times New Roman in 8pt.
